About Me

I began creating Comfy Knitted Characters about a year ago, shortly after retiring. What started as a simple hobby quickly became a passion. I loved knitting dolls and especially enjoyed making Issy dolls, but I couldn’t find many patterns for well‑known characters from TV or films. So I started designing my own — beginning with a full collection of characters from Star Trek: The Next Generation. From there, my obsession only grew.

Since then, I’ve created a wide range of characters inspired by popular films and TV shows, including Minions, Star Trek, Indiana Jones, Disney favourites, and many more. I also make historical dolls such as Vikings, Romans, Elizabethan figures, and Victorian characters.

Alongside my themed collections, I’m always happy to create bespoke, personalised dolls on request. If you have a character, era, or idea in mind, I can bring it to life in a cosy knitted form.
